Matnog, Sorsogon

One of the best things to do in Matnog, Sorsogon is to go island hopping. What I love about the place is that it is very clean, not crowded, the sand are so white and the water is pristine.

What to see:

  1. Tikling Island – This island got the whitest sand and powder like. Everything here looks white and bright. There were not a lot of cottages here, so people don’t really stay that long to go overnight. I just love this place because it looks surreal and heavenly.
  2. Juag Lagoon – Watching and feeding fish is the main attraction of this place. You will be buying some food for the fish, then ride a raft and feed an assorted number of fishes.
  3. Calintaan Cave – during our boat ride we went to this cave which has a tunnel and at the end of it is an enclosed area with an open light from the sky. It relaxing and moody inside.
  4. Little Subic – There is the main Subic beach but we opted to stay in Little Subic because we wanted a more isolated area. I love this place. I remember just laying on the white sand and watching the blue sky and hearing the waves. It was a paradise. It was peaceful and quiet. There are cottages available here and tents where you can rent or just set your own for a small fee.

Directions:

There are buses in Cubao, Alabang or Pasay that goes directly to Matnog like Philtranco, DLTB, Raymong bus and etc.
