It was a hot afternoon when we went to Kapurpurawan in Ilocos Norte. So the colors that day was very graphic. The deep blue sky against the chalk white colors of the rocks were so vivid. It felt surreal to be in that place. It is a great spot to take fashion photos because the colors can look commercial. I suggest that you go on a morning to avoid the intense heat.
Kapurpurawan is very popular among tourist, you will see stores selling food, drinks and souvenirs at the start of the walk. Horses are also available for those wanting to save calories. It is located at the beach but I don’t think it is open for swimming since I don’t see anyone there. The site of the windmills gives the place a European feel but this one is for an electrical power generation. An interesting figure to find here is a sculpture depicting an old folk tale “Biag ni Lam-ang”.
